W.O.W. Women Of Worship

The Women of Worship Ministry at Charity Baptist Church are “Women reaching out to each other to worship Christ through thought, deed, action and community spirit.” Our ministry has been in place for about three years now.  We are responsible for functions at the church, for example the Christmas Events, fundraising, provide food for funeral services, etc.  Women of Worship reach out to each other for support and prayer.  Many friendships have been forged in this ministry and many have been strengthened.   Wherever the WOW is needed…we are there.

Our mission statement is: 

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.  For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, for he hath not another to help him.  Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?  And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

 The Women of Worship meet once a month on the second Saturday.  It is a breakfast meeting and all are encouraged to bring their favorite breakfast food to share.  If there is enough of a need, child care can be provided for the meeting.
