Seven Facts Concerning Salvation
I. God Shows No Favoritism - L v. 34,35
Two Things Make A Person Acceptable To God
1) Fearing God. - L v. 35; Acts 9:31
2) Desiring Righteousness. – v.35
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
“ Righteousness” is totally obeying God’s will. – L John 5:30
II. God Sent His Word To Israel - L v. 36, 37
A. Jesus is Lord of all.L v.36; L Acts 1:8
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
B. Jesus had been talked about throughout Judea. -L v. 37
C. Jesus preached God’s Word in Galilee. - L v. 37
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
III. God Anointed Jesus As Savior - L v. 38,39
A. Jesus was anointed by God’s Spirit.
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
B. Jesus was anointed with miraculous power -L v.38
I John 3:8
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
IV. Jesus Was Crucified -v. 39

A. Jesus’ tomb is empty.
B. God showed Jesus openly. - L I Cor 15:3-7
1) Jesus appeared to individuals. - L I Cor 15:5,7
3) Jesus ate with His disciples. - L John 21:10-14
VI. Jesus Will Judge Everyone. - L v. 42
A. He determines the conditions for salvation. -L John 3:16,17
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
2) Jesus appeared to a group. - L I Cor 15:5,6
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
B. He determines the conditions for eternity.
VII. The Prophet Prophesied His Coming. - L v. 43
A. Jesus was the Messiah. - L v. 43; L John 1:45
B. Believing Jesus is the Messiah brings forgiveness of sins. - L John 12:4,6
Four Points Of Interest
1) God shows No favoritism. - L v. 34
2) Jesus Christ is Lord of ALL.- L v. 36
3) Jesus’ power helps us to withstand Satan’s oppression - L v. 38
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
4) Faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior brings one forgiveness of sins.
