Audio to come!

Hebrews 11:6

“Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.”

Question:  As Christians, what can you do to please God the most?

Answer: Do the will of the Father.

Two Important Points Concerning God’s Will:

I. Jesus Christ Obeyed the Will of His Father. – L- John 5:30

A. He was willing to come out of heaven. – L- John 6:38

B. He was willing to die for our sins. – L- Matthew 26:39-42

C. He is willing to glorify His Father. – L- John 17:4

Matthew 3:17

God the Father said, “This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.”

II Corinthians 5:21

“…(Jesus) Who knew no sin became sin for us…”

Hebrews 4:15

“…(Jesus) was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin.”

Philippians 2:5

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” (doing the Will of the Father)

II. Christians Must Obey The Will of God:

A. You must love God.

Mark 12:30

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength…”

B. You must obey God’s law.

Psalm 40:8

King David said, “I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart.”

Psalm 1:2

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night.”

C. You must pray.

I Thessalonians 5:17

“Pray without ceasing.”

D. You must worship together regularly.

Hebrews 10:24,25

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another…”

E. You must do ministry.

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works..”

F. You must love God more than the world.

I John 2:15-17

“Do not love the world or the things of the world…For all that is in the world – the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world.  And the world is passing away but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

G. You must be filled with God’s Spirit.

Ephesians 5:18

“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit.”

H. You must attempt to reach lost folks. – L- Romans 10:17

Conclusion:

Question: Where does pleasing God start?

Answer: L- Matthew 7:21-23 receiving Jesus Christ as your personal                       Savior and Lord.
